I have this problem as well, I can flash peak with nightly images but can't download it bia FOTA.
I'm flashing only gaia using git command now, which is easier than flashing the phone.

Is there maybe a possibility to change the Update channel for Firefox OS 2.1 to resolve the problem? Actually, I'm using nightly-geeksphone

In v2.0 you can change the update URL in Settings - Developer - Software updates.

But it seems that the update file is broken for 2.0/1.4/1.3 (empty buildID and size) ...

http://gpfos.s3.amazonaws.com/peak/v2.0/update.xml
Code: [Select]
<updates>
<update type="minor" appVersion="" version="18.0a2" extensionVersion="18.0a2" buildID="" isOSUpdate="true" licenseURL="http://www.mozilla.com/test/sample-eula.html" detailsURL="http://www.mozilla.com/test/sample-details.html">
<patch type="complete" URL="http://gpfos.s3.amazonaws.com/peak/v2.0/" hashFunction="SHA512" hashValue="cf83e1357eefb8bdf1542850d66d8007d620e4050b5715dc83f4a921d36ce9ce47d0d13c5d85f2b0ff8318d2877eec2f63b931bd47417a81a538327af927da3e" size=""/>
</update>
</updates>

... compared to v1.2:

http://gpfos.s3.amazonaws.com/peak/v1.2/update.xml
Code: [Select]
<updates>
<update type="minor" appVersion="26.0" version="18.0a2" extensionVersion="18.0a2" buildID="20140511211917" isOSUpdate="true" licenseURL="http://www.mozilla.com/test/sample-eula.html" detailsURL="http://www.mozilla.com/test/sample-details.html">
<patch type="complete" URL="http://gpfos.s3.amazonaws.com/peak/v1.2/update_2014-05-11_220028.mar" hashFunction="SHA512" hashValue="1d7b5e4472047a09b68a431a566ebd238ed736a4ab44545ffddabb1c2b982751819c56862818c9c591c2c8af7f8e1c8d5c295e950abef7d19511f7134e3c61a1" size="118239777"/>
</update>
</updates>

This problem is occurring on Keon as well. I have version 2.0 and I can't update it using OTA. It always says there's no update available.

Yes, we know that is broken. Mozilla made some changes to the way that otas are done and we need to redo some of our scripts. Working on it.

Thanks for the advice.

Thanks, helmar.

But what are the possible entries I may use in the update channel/update URL?

Hi AL,

I don't know exactly; In v2.0 you can see the URL in the developer menu:
http://gpfos.s3.amazonaws.com/peak/v2.0/update.xml
In this URL you can replace the v2.0 with v1.2 / v1.3 / v1.4 / master to get the correspondig XML file, but I only tried this in my web browser. I did not try if it is possible to switch to another FFOS version by simply changing this string in the settings...

Regards,   Helmar.
