If I flash my Peak with the "nightly" image, then want to revert to "stable", will this cause any issues?  If not, is there anything additional I need to do when re-flashing to stable to ensure a smooth transition?

I have not had any problems reverting, but I don't want to revert (even though camera doesn't work and battery life is worse) as I'd rather pester the devs with bugs :)

Hi ruk,

flashing means a complete exchange of all bytes of the OS. So, no.

Is there a changelog, which shows the differences between two updates?

Just a question: the last Peak nightly build at the download area dates back to October 20th... ¿shouldn't there be a nightly *every* night?

Original post in Spanish: Pregunta... el último nightly en el área de descargas es del 20 de octubre... ¿no debería haber nightlies todas las noches?

Sorry... I forgot this is an English-Speaking forum... :-S

Peak Nightly build has no updates already for few weeks.

I meant that... for me nightly means you have an update every night... :)

Only if mozilla doesnt break something.

Right now nightlies doesnt work because the scripts are wrong and try to run some scripts in a directory before it finish downloading this directory :(.

Can that be fixed?

At least a simple icon displaying the status of the last builds would be nice...

Yes, for sure Mozilla is working on it.

About the icon, it's a good idea, will think about it, but dont wait to be done soon... it's no as easy as put an icon here :)

Thank you Luis. Please update this thread when something happens... if there's a way to help with the "download & build" script thing, just tell me... I could try and see what's wrong with it.

Again, thanks.

After fixing the Nightly version release for short period, again not seen any new releases since nightly-images-peak-master-2013-11-27.Gecko-7815ce9.Gaia-9e0df13.zip
Promise was to get new release every day night. Could anybody fix this issue forever!? Geeksphone argued before that it was Mozilla issue. I would not agree with that, because http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/b2g/nightly/latest-mozilla-central/ shows still newer recent releases comparing to Geeksphone.

As you can missed also Peak master image in http://www.geeksphone.com/manifests/2013-12-05/index.php

The recent release:
  • by Mozilla 04-Dec-2013
  • by Geeksphone 27-Nov-2013

Read carefully the next points:

1) We try to build a 1.1, 1.2 and master image every night, our scripts works, but we are building a code that is not ours, so when someone change something in this code that breaks things we only know when it dont build.

2) This is master branch, that is the development branch and has many changes everyday, so if a change breaks building one night and we fix it, maybe tomorrow another change could break it again and is not the same fix, so we need to investigate to see what is happening. Sometimes someone get this error before us and fix it so in a couple of days it get fixed before we see it, but sometimes no.

3) This is not the same issue that the one that broke building two weeks ago. Is again a Mozilla issue. And we have opened a bug http://forum.geeksphone.com/index.php?topic=5813.0

4) Sorry if you dont agree with that, but it is a problem in Mozilla's code as you can see in the bug. I dont mind if Mozilla got any image built. They dont use our scripts nor our servers and you and me dont know how Mozilla works internally if a image dont build. So compare Geeksphone with Mozilla is not a good idea.

5) As I explain in this forum our scripts first sync all code, if downloads correctly it uploads the manifest to http://www.geeksphone.com/manifests/, then try to build a image, if dont work the manifest remains, but the image is not uploaded, so you cant take this file as a clue of... I dont know...

6) All this points are in the forum, the bug, the info about the scripts, etc. Next time, please, spend some time searching in the forum. Thanks

PS: Personally I think that yout post has been very unpolite, but is just my opinion...
