Screen redraw problem
« on: May 14, 2015, 08:54:56 AM »
Hello,

With most of the peak releases I have tested (1.3, 1.4, 2.0, 2.1, 2.2 ), I got the problem that the screen is not always fully redrawn or sometime it's a total mess. I've read somewhere (can't remember where) that it could be a problem in GPU driver and it could be quite difficult to fix. Is there at least a workaround or something that could help ? Could it be an hardware problem only on my phone ?

Any helps will be greatly appreciated.

                  Thanks

                        Patrice

I installed android using these explanations:

It works like a charm, so it might not be an hardware problem.

It's a problem with the FfOS builds given by GP.
They did not correct the bugs and there is probably an optimization issue of FF OS on the Peak.

Many of us had that problem (for me since 2.0 and then 2.1 and 2.2).

Now that they don't build new images the only hope is that the community makes a decent build on that aspect.

For me it's over: my battery is dead.

Thanks for your answer.

At least, GP could provide an "official" android release for the peak if they can't provide a working Ffos one.

  Would you ? Please ? ;)

They stated one month ago that they would not support the Peak anymore. The only working images are the 1.0.1 and 1.1...

What a pity !

What about a special discount on buying "revolution" for peak owner ?

This is awful and a reason to return the phone to the manufacturer. Most of the applications are not usable because of this bug. As a customer it is not my respnsibility to look for alternatoive repositories or to implement such things on my own.

I will send it back.
