Updates can be downloaded OTA, and you can switch the OS with 3 clicks OTA too.

If you want to backup (NANDdroid) you can do it easily, but it's a manual process we have not yet automated.

And yes! Our port to Android is first-of-its-kind. We will commit all of our improvements to the source code repo of Mozilla.

Christian, regarding your question

We hope to publish full specs before Christmas

It will be in line with flagship devices from other manufacturers, maybe slightly below, but between the 1st and 2nd series of other brands.

We will offer a discount voucher for users that changed for Peak, although the big discount is for users that have decided to keep it placed (it would not be fair for them otherwise!)

We will keep you updated!

I'm personally pretty much surprised that GP is offering a "Firefox OS" device on a chipset that Mozilla has not talked anywhere about supporting, and also without telling if GP will get the branding rights to even call it "Firefox OS" (which seems to have been a problem for the Peak+ already).
Also, I'm very disappointed that all this means that my Peak will not be as well-supported into the future as GP said not too long ago (as the information was that the same images for the Peak+ would work with the Peak). Unfortunately, I have placed too much trust in GP and just advertised the Peak+ on an event this week. I learned now that I shouldn't have done that and will refrain from ever advertising GP again for the time being.

Kairo, I'm Javier Agüera, one of Geeksphone co-founders.

I'm very sad to read your message, althogh I understand your view. Some comments:

- We contribute to Firefox OS / B2G project as it is Open Source. We will supply the patches and improvements we develope as we have done in the past (some of them allow FFOS to run on devies such as the ZTE Open)

- Firefox OS vs B2G is just a branding issue. Once the procedures are available, we will follow them to get certified. This certification does not mean our devices comply with our own QA and quality standards which are meant to be equal or higher.

- Peak will be supported in the future. Geeksphone is the only company in the world that has supported a device (the One) from Android 1.5 to Android 2.3. It's in our core values.

Best regards & thanks for sharing your feedback

En principio no contará con LTE pero sí con HSPA+

Trataremos de dar todas las especificaciones cuanto antes, y de una vez, el problema es que existen unos procesos de autorización muy estrictos. Somos los primeros deseando compartirlos :)

Website is wrong. Correct data is as advertised in the media and as shown in the device back.

Please, if you have any issue related to this, let us know:

Our webdesign team has been informed and will change this.

There might be a misprint in either the website or the handsets. We are currently checking it.

We are very sorry for the inconveniences caused!!

Nightlies will be automatically generated on our build server, taking latest builds and our latest code

The plan is to have weekly or biweekly stable builds via OTA to both devices, and also a nightly not-tested version for both.

Keon will start receiving its versions very soon, and Peak will take a bit longer as Mozilla is still merging the code into their repos. Anyway, it's a matter of days for the Keon and hopefully not-many-weeks for Peak  ;)

Bugs / Re: Camera Problem

The "snowy" bug is a known bug and our engineers are working on it :)

(However, if somebody happens to find a solution, please make it public!)

We will shortly upload the latest stable version as well as a nightly one!

Please note that for full stability you should use matching gonk-gecko-gaia :)

We will begin shortly to supply an nightly version with everyday FOTAs!

Another option is to be notified when store reopens, but that's a bit less convenient normally.

And of course, you can omit the CoD surcharge, it's actually a charge that goes to UPS not us.

If you need a new invoice, just let us know!

You won't be able to use your native Android / iOS apps, the same as if you tried to use aBlackberry app on Android

Sorry! =/

PS: But the good thing about Firefox OS is that it is based on HTML5 and apps are fairly esasy to write, so market will start populating soon!
