A-GPS on ZERO
« on: September 21, 2011, 06:20:12 AM »
Hi all,

I was wondering about the A-GPS Quickfix function specified.
I saw from this file that there was on option in ONE to enable/disable the Quickfix option.
What about the Stock ROM in ZERO ? Where can I find such a feature ?

I 'm currently running ZERO with the Stock ROM (CyanogenMod was far too buggy with unexpected crash and reboots) and I expected to have a GPS fix is seconds but it takes ages.

By the way, the system does not seem to use coordinates (sent from GSM signals ?) as a first approximate of the geo-position. When I was using Google Maps on HTC Hero, for the time of having a GPS fix, the system was using a less acurate position which is still better than nothing.

Any clue ?

Look here: http://forum.geeksphone.com/index.php?topic=2332.0 (In Spanish, sorry)

May be you will find some useful information.

And, of course, you should use SR 1.01 Isaac, instead of SR.
