Hello.

I would add to what Javier said, with this publication meets the commitment we had with you, GeeksPhone users.

It was difficult for us to achieve this goal, and this explains the delay.

Next time, the source code will be available from the beginning.

Thanks ..... ;)

Burn2...

By itself it does not improve anything.

But it allows developers to compile newer versions of the kernel, so with those new versions you will gain a lot of stability, everything will work OK, security and the possibility of doing Wireless Tethering, for example ;)

Hum great news. So you confirm that wireless tethering is possible?

I've seen something curious....

If I unpack the kernel, I receive several warnings about replacing files:

I've seen that some of the replaced files are identical, but some of them are really different.

It seems as if the Foxconn guys had prepared the tar time ago, and after that, they had just updated (tar -u) with the new versions.  :D

Or, may be there is a better and less conspiranoic explanation for that ...

Some are uppercase, others are lowercase. In windoze names collide :)

Btw, is this correct compile (in debian) ?
make CROSS_COMPILE=/usr/bin/arm-linux-gnueabi- ARCH=arm

Btw, how do i install a kernel from recovery? It is safe to do that, right?

No problems with the cross compile line.
But you can't "install a kernel" in Android (nor in most embedded systems). The kernel is an integral part of the boot image, so you'll have to build a new one; However, remember there are 2 independent boot images ("recovery" and "boot"), so you're free to mess up either one, as long as you leave the other alone ;) I usually do tests with the recovery image (if the test fails, it falls back automatically to the regular boot, and it's easy and fast to restore a good recovery image from the full system)
